High School Education not Required to be a Screener

This is something that will really make you think. Due to a very high turn over rate the TSA has lowered it hiring standards to the point where a person is not required to have graduated high school. That’s right America, the TSA will now hire people who did not take enough responsibility to graduate high school and allow them to conduct “screening” to deter Terrorism. Does this make any sense? This does explain why I have had Supervisors who could not read. These people are being trusted to make decisions that will affect your lives. This is from a posting on  USA JOBS for a screener position. I have brought this fact to higher-ups and did not get an answer.

Another unsurprising newsbyte. Since its inception, TSA has been security theater period. I wouldn’t trust these people to flip a burger correctly.

Don’t X-ray technicians have to be high school graduates, having attended an accredited program in order to be licensed? Or does TSA hire those who have “played X-ray technician” and also stayed at a Holiday Inn last night?

If a person can push a button than they are qualified in the eyes of the TSA.
